Manchester Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Firearms Charges

Concord, N.H. – In a shocking turn of events, Marcos Nieves, a 40-year-old man from Manchester, New Hampshire, has pleaded guilty to federal firearms charges. The news has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving many to wonder what led to this point.

According to court documents, Nieves was previously prohibited from possessing any firearms due to a prior felony conviction. However, he was found to be in possession of two stolen AK-47 style weapons, several firearm magazine clips, ammunition, drugs, and drug dealing paraphernalia during a search of his Manchester residence in August 2015.

The search warrant was obtained by members of the Manchester Police Department as part of an investigation into a non-fatal shooting that occurred on August 8, 2015. Nieves has been in state custody since that date and is currently serving a sentence of 2 to 4 years in New Hampshire State Prison for narcotics charges.

The case against Nieves was jointly investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives and the Manchester Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles L. Rombeau is prosecuting the case.

A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for March 17, 2017, where Nieves will face the consequences of his actions. The community is left to wonder what drove Nieves to break the law and what the future holds for this Manchester man.

As the investigation into Nieves’ actions continues, one thing is clear: the consequences of breaking the law will always be severe. The Grimy Times will continue to follow this story and provide updates as more information becomes available.
