Justin L. Wiegand, a 34-year-old sex offender from Kenova, West Virginia, has pleaded guilty to receiving and possessing child pornography. In December 2023, Wiegand contacted a user on an instant messaging app and purchased a package of explicit content, including 160 videos and links to folders containing over 50 gigabytes of child porn. The content depicted minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including adult males having sex with prepubescent females.
Wiegand’s guilty plea revealed a pattern of criminal behavior, with the defendant admitting to purchasing child porn from the same and other messaging app users on at least eight occasions between December 2023 and January 2025. He requested content such as ‘young girls cp’ and asked for rape videos during these transactions.
The investigation also uncovered a hidden camera in Wiegand’s bathroom, which he used to record a video of a 10-year-old girl undressing and taking a shower. The video was saved on one of Wiegand’s cell phones, along with numerous images and videos of child pornography, including depictions of prepubescent minors engaged in sexual intercourse and oral sex with adults.
Wiegand’s plea is the result of a thorough investigation, and his sentencing is pending. The case highlights the ongoing issue of child pornography and the importance of law enforcement efforts to combat this crime.
