Christopher Charles Walker Sentenced to 240 Months for Methamphetamine Trafficking

A Sioux Falls man has been sentenced to 240 months in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy.

Christopher Charles Walker, 50, was convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance and sentenced on September 14, 2021, by U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier.

The conviction stems from incidents beginning on an unknown date and continuing until on or about May 25, 2020, when Walker knowingly and intentionally combined, conspired, confederated, agreed with others to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance of methamphetamine, which is a Schedule II controlled substance.

At the time Walker voluntarily joined in the agreement, he knew the purpose of said agreement. Walker distributed over 500 grams of methamphetamine to co-conspirators who, in turn, redistributed it to their drug customers in South Dakota.

This case was investigated by the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigations, the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations. Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Tamara Nash prosecuted the case.

As a result of the conviction, Walker was sentenced to 240 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, and a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $100.

Walker was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
