A Clairton, Pennsylvania resident has been sentenced to 28 months in federal prison for his role in a narcotics conspiracy, announced United States Attorney Scott W. Brady today.
Terrence Wade, 49, was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute narcotics and was sentenced by United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.
According to court documents, Wade acted as a ‘runner’ for his codefendants Skyler Carter and Courtney Carter, making regular deliveries of heroin and crack cocaine, and collecting payment from customers.
It is alleged that Wade was responsible for the distribution of at least 28 grams of cocaine base and at least 20 grams of heroin in the Clairton area.
The investigation into Wade’s activities was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with assistance from the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, the Allegheny County Police Department, and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
The case was funded by the federal Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Program (OCDETF), which provides critical funding and coordination to help federal and state agencies work together to combat major drug trafficking organizations.
Assistant United States Attorney Carolyn J. Bloch is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.
This is the eighth of 21 defendants charged in the conspiracy to be sentenced.
