Cleveland Woman Charged in Firearms Heist
A brazen crime has shaken the quiet streets of Broadview Heights, Ohio, as a Cleveland woman has been charged with stealing firearms from a local gun store.
Michaele N. Lenzy, 28, of Cleveland, is accused of stealing two semi-automatic firearms from LTD Gun Shop and Pistol Range on December 13, 2015. The indictment alleges that Lenzy knowingly stole and unlawfully took away the firearms, which is a serious crime.
The indictment is the result of a joint investigation by the Broadview Heights Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Assistant United States Attorney Benedict S. Gullo is prosecuting the case.
Lenzy’s sentence will be determined by the court after reviewing factors such as her prior criminal record, role in the offense, and the characteristics of the violation. If convicted, Lenzy faces a maximum sentence, but the exact punishment will be determined by the court.
