Seattle, WA – In a shocking move, Colonel Mears of the Alaska Engineering Commission has been relieved of his duties on the Alaska Railroad. According to sources, the decision was made by the Department of the Interior and the War Department to combine the duties of operating the Alaska Railroad with the construction of roads and trails in the Territory.
