Andre Hendricks, Gun and Narcotics Trafficking, Georgia 2016

Andre Hendricks, 39, of Woodland, Georgia, was sentenced to 120 months in prison for two serious crimes.

On two occasions in December 2016, Hendricks sold narcotics from his residence to a confidential informant. As a result, a search of his home revealed a cache of illicit items including nine firearms, ammunition, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana.

Hendricks has a history of crime, having been previously convicted of multiple felony offenses including possession of cocaine with intent to distribute in the early 2000s. His criminal record includes convictions in Talbot County, Meriwether County, and Muscogee County.

The case against Hendricks was brought under Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a federal program aimed at reducing violent crime and making neighborhoods safer. The program, reinvigorated in 2017 by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, works to bring together law enforcement agencies to combat rising crime trends.

The case was investigated by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant U.S. Attorney Crawford Seals prosecuted the case.

Hendricks’ sentencing serves as a reminder of the consequences of narcotics trafficking and the importance of law enforcement efforts to combat this issue. His lengthy prison sentence is a testament to the commitment of the Justice System to keeping communities safe.
