ST. LOUIS – In a disturbing display of reckless disregard for public safety, a local man has been sentenced to prison time for his involvement in the illicit fentanyl trade.

On January 28, 2020, St. Louis resident Corey Clark, 52, was arrested as a result of an undercover police operation. During this operation, Clark made four separate sales of fentanyl to an individual.

The evidence revealed that Clark was in possession of approximately 20 grams of fentanyl at the time of his arrest. Furthermore, a loaded firearm was recovered from Clark’s vehicle. It’s worth noting that prior to this arrest, Clark had already been convicted of at least one felony crime.

The Drug Enforcement Administration investigated this case, bringing the perpetrator to justice. Clark’s actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for human life and public safety.

On March 2020, Clark pleaded guilty to one count of possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Today, U.S. District Court Judge Stephen R. Clark sentenced Corey Clark to 50 months in prison.
