Fentanyl Fiasco Hits Old Orchard Beach
In a devastating turn of events, Corydon Mills, a 33-year-old Old Orchard Beach man, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for distributing fentanyl that resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
According to court records, on January 23, 2017, Mills distributed fentanyl at a residence in Old Orchard Beach. Tragically, two people used this fentanyl and died as a result.
The Old Orchard Beach Police Department and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigated the case, working tirelessly to bring Mills to justice.
Mills pleaded guilty in August 2021, acknowledging his role in the fatal overdoses. His sentence, handed down by U.S. District Judge George Z. Singal, includes three years of supervised release following his prison term.
This case serves as a harsh reminder of the dangers of fentanyl and the importance of holding those accountable for their actions.
