Cousins Charged with Incest
A disturbing case of alleged incest has come to light in La Plant, South Dakota, with two first cousins facing federal charges. Nicholas White Eagle, 26, and Fawn Lynn Scott, 20, have been indicted by a federal grand jury for two counts of incest.
According to the indictment, the alleged incidents took place in April 2011 and February 2013. If convicted, White Eagle and Scott could face a maximum penalty of up to 5 years in custody, a $250,000 fine, or both; 3 years of supervised release; and $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. The investigation into the allegations is being conducted by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Mikal Hanson handling the prosecution.
