Baltimore Man Gets 20 Years for Crack

Kenneth Robinson, a 37-year-old Baltimore man, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in a crack cocaine distribution conspiracy.

According to court testimony, Baltimore police officers executed search warrants at Robinson’s home on Cedarhurst Road and his car on July 1, 2011. They seized approximately 589 grams of crack cocaine and $36,046. Robinson had told the officers that they would find the drugs and cash in ceiling tiles in the basement and in his car.

The evidence showed that Robinson sold drugs in the York Road corridor. U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz handed down the 20-year sentence, which will be followed by 10 years of supervised release.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended the DEA and Baltimore Police Department for their work in the investigation. Rosenstein thanked Assistant United States Attorney Brooke Carey, who prosecuted the case.

The sentence is a significant blow to the city’s ongoing struggle with drug trafficking. The case highlights the dedicated efforts of law enforcement to take down those involved in the distribution of crack cocaine.
