Five individuals have been indicted for a range of violent crimes committed in Indian Country, according to a recent federal grand jury announcement.
Rocky Carmello Breck, 25, of Broken Arrow, has been charged with kidnapping, obstruction of justice, assault with a dangerous weapon, and witness tampering. Breck allegedly attempted to kidnap a female victim on June 6, 2021, and used a firearm to assault her. He further used physical force or the threat of physical force to prevent the victim from communicating with law enforcement.
Breck’s alleged crimes occurred within the Muscogee Nation Reservation, and he is a citizen of the Muscogee Nation. The FBI and Broken Arrow Police Department are investigating the case.
Jarrett Brooks, 25, of Tulsa, has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. Brooks allegedly used a loaded firearm to strike a male victim across the jaw on May 21, 2021, within the Muscogee Nation Reservation. The FBI and Tulsa Police Department are investigating the case.
Ethan Michael Ciccone, 25, of Vinita, has been charged with aggravated sexual abuse by force and first-degree burglary. Ciccone allegedly broke into the house of a female victim on June 7, 2021, and engaged in sexual acts using force and threatening the victim. Ciccone is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and the alleged crime occurred within the Cherokee Nation Reservation. The FBI and Vinita Police Department are investigating the case.
Jason Sun Bear Costes, 21, of Sand Springs, has been charged with assault with intent to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and robbery. Costes allegedly used an axe to assault a male victim on July 2, 2016, and took an automobile, wallet, and credit card by force after the axe attack. Costes is a citizen of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, and the alleged crime occurred within the Muscogee Nation Reservation. Costes committed the crime as a juvenile, and the FBI and Sand Springs Police Department are investigating the case.
Brittiny Linn Dick, 30, of Vinita, has been charged with sexual exploitation of a child and attempted coercion of a minor. Dick allegedly enticed and coerced a young child to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child sexual abuse material on May 7, 2012, within the Cherokee Reservation. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations and the Tulsa Police Department are investigating the case.
Jason Lenn Dufoe, 42, of Bartlesville, has been charged with first-degree burglary. Dufoe allegedly broke into a home by opening a door and window to enter, with the intent to commit a crime. Dufoe is a non-Indian, and the crime occurred within the Cherokee Nation Reservation. The FBI and Bartlesville Police Department are investigating the case.
Gabriel Escobedo-Escalera, 22, an alien, has been charged with unlawful reentry of a removed alien. Escobedo-Escalera was found in the United States after deportation from Paso Del Norte, Texas. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations and the Tulsa Police Department are investigating the case.
