A Berkeley County man has admitted to his role in a drug distribution conspiracy, authorities announced. Curtis Davis, 30, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Base.’

According to the investigation, Davis possessed 28 grams or more of cocaine base, also known as ‘crack,’ in June 2019 in Berkeley County.

The defendant faces at least five and up to 40 years of incarceration, as well as a fine of up to $5,000,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey A. Finucane is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Drug Enforcement Administration investigated the matter.

The case was presided over by U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Trumble.
