Curtis Trevore Bell, Methamphetamine and Cocaine Distribution, North Carolina 2021

RALEIGH, N.C. – A notorious drug dealer in Pamlico County has been brought to justice. Curtis Trevore Bell, a 38-year-old man with a history of violence, was sentenced to 100 months in prison for distributing methamphetamine and cocaine in the area.

According to court documents, Bell began selling these deadly narcotics almost immediately after serving a ten-year sentence for murder. His reign of terror on the streets of Pamlico County did not go unnoticed. In a thirteen-month period, authorities purchased narcotics from Bell, a known member of the United Blood Nation, fourteen times.

But Bell’s involvement in the narcotics trade went beyond just sales. In a disturbing display of intimidation, U.S. Marshals removed him from a Federal courthouse in Elizabeth City when he appeared at a trial of a notorious drug dealer in New Bern to threaten the Government’s witnesses.

The case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force in the Eastern District of North Carolina focusing on narcotics distributors in Pamlico County. The Pamlico County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the District Attorney’s Office in Prosecutorial District 4 assisted with the investigation of the case.

Assistant U.S. Attorney J.D. Koesters prosecuted the case, bringing Bell to justice for his crimes. The sentencing was announced by U.S. Attorney Robert J. Higdon, Jr. for the Eastern District of North Carolina, following a hearing by U.S. District Judge Terrence W. Boyle.

The case against Bell is a significant blow to the organized crime syndicates operating in the Eastern District of North Carolina. With his sentencing, the people of Pamlico County can rest a little easier knowing that one of their most notorious drug dealers is behind bars.
