In a case that has left the small town of Elk River, Minnesota reeling, 19-year-old Alice Hull is on trial for receiving money stolen in the daring bank heist of the First National Bank of Elk River. The brazen robbery took place on August 9, 1929, leaving a trail of destruction and heartbreak in its wake. Alice Hull, a Minneapolis native, was arrested and charged with receiving the stolen funds. Her trial has finally arrived, and the prosecution is determined to prove her guilt. Frank T. White, Sherburne County Attorney, made it clear in his arguments to the jury that Alice Hull was undoubtedly aware of the fact that the money was stolen by her associates. The three men involved in the heist, August Becker, Roy Salmon, and Donald McLavin, are currently serving life sentences at Stillwater for their part in the crime. White emphasized that Alice Hull was well aware of the moral wrongdoing of her actions, having associated with these men for several weeks and even riding in an automobile with them at the time of their arrest.
