A 26-year-old Missouri woman, Julianne Grace Willis, pleaded guilty to using the internet to stalk and terrorize a victim in Ulysses, Kansas, with threats of rape and murder. The harassment began in October 2022, when Willis sent demeaning messages to a minor relative of the victim on a Roblox account, pretending to be a 24-year-old man named Chris. After the victim blocked the account, Willis escalated her attacks, sending threatening telephone calls, text messages, and social media messages to the victim and their relatives.
Willis’s campaign of harassment also included creating a fake dating profile, which led to men showing up at the victim’s home expecting romantic encounters. The victim was forced to change jobs after Willis made derogatory statements to their employer. The FBI traced the phone number and IP address used by Willis to her location in Independence, Missouri.
The FBI investigated the case, and Willis is now facing sentencing, scheduled for November 4, 2026. The victim suffered a significant disruption to their daily life and well-being, and the FBI has stated its commitment to protecting victims of cyberstalking and holding offenders accountable.
Chris Ormerod, FBI Kansas City Special Agent in Charge, stated that the victim endured a sustained and deliberate campaign of harassment, which had a profound and lasting impact on their sense of security and quality of life. The FBI will continue to investigate and prosecute those who engage in criminal harassment, ensuring that victims receive the justice they deserve.
