Cocaine and Oxycodone Trafficking Lands Maine Woman Behind Bars
Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Williams, a 43-year-old Stetson resident, has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five or more kilograms of cocaine and oxycodone.
Williams, who pleaded guilty to the charge on January 25, 2016, was handed down the sentence by Judge Jon D. Levy in U.S. District Court.
According to court records, Williams conspired with nine other individuals to distribute oxycodone and cocaine in the Dexter, Maine area between 2012 and November 2014. The drugs were acquired in Rhode Island and were distributed from her Stetson residence.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, with assistance from the Dexter Police Department and the Penobscot and Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Offices.
Williams will also serve three years of supervised release, including six months of community confinement.
