Crime Boss Sentenced to 11 Years in Prison

A notorious Connecticut man, Damian Perry, also known as ‘Primo’, has been sentenced to over 11 years in prison for his involvement in a cocaine and heroin trafficking operation in Maine.

On September 1, 2017, Perry and another person were found in possession of 94 grams of cocaine base and 34 grams of heroin at a hotel in Brewer, Maine. The duo had been selling the drugs from the hotel, and Perry had previously used a telephone to make plans to come to Maine to sell the drugs.

Perry, 39, pleaded guilty to the charges on August 19, 2019, and was subsequently sentenced by U.S. District Judge John A. Woodcock, Jr. to 137 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release.

The investigation into Perry’s operation was a collaborative effort between the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Brewer Police Department.

This prosecution is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation, which aims to identify, disrupt, and dismantle the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States.

As part of the OCDETF investigation, law enforcement agencies use a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach to leverage the strengths of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies against criminal networks.
