Two Fairmont residents, Daniel Carl Ash, 32, and Amanda Isolde Eiseman, 25, have been convicted of their role in manufacturing methamphetamine in a federal court in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
The investigation by the Three Rivers Drug Task Force revealed that Eiseman and Ash repeatedly purchased pseudoephedrine, commonly used in the production of methamphetamine, throughout 2014.
An analysis of the evidence gathered by the task force uncovered a disturbing pattern of purchasing pseudoephedrine by the duo, indicating their involvement in the production of methamphetamine.
Ash and Eiseman both pled guilty to one count of ‘Possession of Pseudoephedrine to be used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine.’
As a result, they each face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.00. The actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendants.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn Morgan is prosecuting the cases on behalf of the government.
U.S. Magistrate Judge was not the presiding judge, however, he was not mentioned as U.S. District Judge. The exact presiding judge was U.S. Magistrate Judge and was John S. Kaull.
