Huntington, West Virginia, resident Daniel Legette has been sentenced to 90 months and one day in federal prison for his role in a crack cocaine operation in the city. The 45-year-old was found to be in possession of approximately 23 grams of crack cocaine, along with other illicit substances, at his residence on Oakland Avenue.
According to court documents, on November 12, 2020, officers with the Huntington Police Department executed a search warrant at Legette’s residence. During the search, police seized approximately 100 individually wrapped bags of crack cocaine, totaling around 23 grams. The sentencing was handled by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers. Assistant United States Attorney Joseph F. Adams led the prosecution.
Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston commended the investigative work of the Huntington Police Department in bringing Legette to justice.
