Danny Allen Hudson, Oxycodone Distribution, West Virginia 2022

Danny Allen Hudson, a 62-year-old man from Cedar Grove, West Virginia, has been found guilty of two counts of distribution of oxycodone. The crime, which occurred between May 29, 2018, and November 7, 2018, involved Hudson selling oxycodone 30mg pills to a confidential informant on five separate occasions at his residence.

According to court documents, Hudson sold quantities of oxycodone 30mg pills to a person who was working with law enforcement as a confidential informant on five separate occasions. The drug sale occurred at his residence. On November 20, 2018, officers executed a search warrant on Hudson’s residence. Inside the master bedroom, officers found a 30-06 rifle. Hudson admitted to possessing that rifle, despite being a prohibited person because of two prior felony convictions.

As a result of his guilty plea, Hudson faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced on February 24, 2022. United States Attorney William S. Thompson made the announcement and commended the investigative work of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

United States District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin presided over the hearing. Assistant U.S. Attorney L. Alexander Hamner is prosecuting the case.
