Davenport Man Sentenced to 130 Months in Federal Prison for Methamphetamine Trafficking and Firearm Charges
A 22-year-old man from Davenport, Iowa, has been sentenced to 130 months in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation. Darion Lemont Thomas, a member of the Savage Life Boys gang, was arrested in September 2021 on outstanding state arrest warrants. At the time of his arrest, Thomas was found with a loaded, stolen firearm in his waistband and 66 ecstasy pills and marijuana in a backpack.
According to the investigation, Thomas was prohibited from possessing firearms due to his status as a felon. Law enforcement officers uncovered evidence of drug trafficking on Thomas’s cell phone and social media records, including his use of a minor to distribute drugs. The records also revealed photos and videos of Thomas illegally possessing firearms.

Thomas will serve 130 months in federal prison, followed by four years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
