A notorious heroin and fentanyl dealer has been brought to justice in Pennsylvania. Darryle D. Ford, 57, of Johnstown, Pa., has been indicted on a charge of violating federal narcotics laws.
Ford’s alleged crimes date back to July 12, 2017, when authorities claim he distributed less than 100 grams of heroin, as well as a quantity of fentanyl. According to the indictment presented to the court, Ford’s actions are punishable under federal law.
The law provides for a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of $1,000,000 or both. Sentencing will be based upon the seriousness of the offense and Ford’s prior criminal history, if any.
The Laurel Highlands Resident Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Cambria County Drug Task Force, conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Ford.
Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie L. Haines is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government. An indictment is an accusation, and it is up to the court to decide the defendant’s guilt.
