Bangor Man Sentenced for Possessing Child Pornography
In a disturbing case of child exploitation, David Jack, 43, of Bangor, Maine, has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. According to court records, the defendant used his cellular telephone to show images of children engaged in sexual activity to a 9-year-old girl in the summer of 2016.
The Bangor Police Department obtained a search warrant for the defendant’s home and seized two laptop computers and a cellular telephone. Forensic analysis of the devices revealed over two thousand images of children, many of them prepubescent, engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The defendant faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.
