A Fort Wayne man was sentenced to 144 months in prison for distributing controlled substances.
Fort Wayne, IN – David L. Reynolds, 42 years old, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was sentenced by United States District Court Chief Judge Holly A. Brady after pleading guilty to distributing controlled substances, announced United States Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.
Reynolds was sentenced to 144 months in prison followed by 5 years of supervised release.
According to documents in the case, Reynolds distributed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and less than 40 grams of fentanyl in August 2023.
This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Fort Wayne Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stacey Speith.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone. On May 26, 2021, the violent crime reduction strategy was launched strengthening PSN based on these core principles: fostering trust and legitimacy in our communities, supporting community-based organizations that help prevent violence from occurring in the first place, setting focused and strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring the results.
District Court Chief Judge Holly A. Brady presided over the case.
The defendant’s sentence is a result of his guilty plea to distributing controlled substances.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana continues to prioritize the investigation and prosecution of those who distribute controlled substances.
