A Burlington man has been sentenced to 230 months in federal prison for distributing large quantities of methamphetamine. David Lee Davis, Jr., 38, carried out the crime in October 2022 by distributing approximately two pounds of methamphetamine to an undercover law enforcement officer.

According to public court documents, Davis was under a term of federal supervised release for a 2012 conviction for conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. His term of supervised release was revoked, and he was sentenced to 51 months consecutive to his 230-month sentence.

After completing his term of imprisonment, Davis will be required to serve a five-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
