David Nestor, Child Pornography Charges, Ohio 2019

David Nestor, 39, of Navarre, Ohio, has been charged with receipt and distribution of child pornography, as well as possession of child pornography. According to a recent indictment, Nestor received and distributed images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct between October and December 2018. He also possessed these images on January 22, 2019.

Nestor’s case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Carol Skutnik following an investigation by the FBI. If convicted, his sentence will be determined by the Court after reviewing factors unique to this case, including his prior criminal record, if any, his role in the offense, and the characteristics of the violation.

It is worth noting that an indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Additionally, the indictment states that if convicted, the defendant’s sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum, and in most cases, it will be less than the maximum.

In a separate case, Jordan Coffman, 23, of Huron, Ohio, was also indicted for possession of child pornography. Coffman possessed images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct in 2015.

Coffman’s case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tracey Ballard Tangeman following an investigation by the FBI.

The FBI’s investigation into both cases highlights the importance of addressing child pornography, a serious crime that can have devastating consequences for its victims.
