Tampa, Florida Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Child Abuse Material
A disturbing case has come to light in Tampa, Florida, where a local man has been sentenced to a decade in federal prison for his involvement in child sexual abuse material. Christopher Clark, a 53-year-old resident of Bradenton, was found guilty of receiving and possessing thousands of photos and videos of child abuse material.
According to court documents, the FBI executed a search warrant at Clark’s home in September 2024. During the search, the FBI seized approximately 45 electronic devices. A review of several of those devices showed that Clark had received and possessed thousands of photos and videos of child sexual abuse material.
Clark entered a guilty plea on January 22, 2025. This case is a stark reminder of the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse that plagues our nation. The FBI, with assistance from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, the Bradenton Police Department, and the Sarasota Police Department, worked tirelessly to bring Clark to justice.
Assistant United States Attorney Ross Roberts prosecuted the case, bringing the defendant to account for his heinous crimes. This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims. The initiative has led to the rescue of countless children and the prosecution of numerous predators, including Christopher Clark.
