A brutal kidnapping in the District of Columbia turned deadly when two men were killed after being taken at gunpoint. Malik Terrell, 24, and his co-conspirators kidnapped two people on June 9, 2023, in the 4400 block of F Street SE. The motive behind the kidnapping was to steal the victims’ clothing, money, vehicle, and other belongings. The victims were driven across state lines into Maryland, where they were threatened, assaulted at gunpoint, and sustained serious injuries.
Terrell pleaded guilty on February 10, 2026, to kidnapping and aiding and abetting. He was sentenced to 87 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. The sentence reflects the severity of the crime, which was described as brutal and deliberate violence.
