GREENBELT, MD – Adarryl Hayes, a/k/a Prince, a/k/a Crummy, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for sex trafficking two minors, authorities announced.
The District of Columbia man, aged 23, faced the stiff penalty after pleading guilty to the heinous crime. Hayes admitted to recruiting a 14-year-old (Victim 1) and a 17-year-old (Victim 2) from February 2016 through February 24, 2016, and forcing them into commercial sex acts.
According to his plea agreement, Hayes used a website to advertise the victims’ services. He transported the minors to hotels across Maryland, demanding all proceeds from their encounters. Hayes denied Victim 1 any profits but provided necessities like condoms and clothing.
The operation came to an end on February 24, 2016, when an undercover officer with the Prince George’s County Police Department arranged a meeting. Hayes was arrested at the hotel where he attempted to sell sex for both victims.
Acting United States Attorney Stephen M. Schenning praised the FBI and the Prince George’s County Police Department for their diligent efforts in bringing Hayes to justice. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicolas A. Mitchell prosecuted the case.
This case serves as a stark reminder of the horrors of sex trafficking and the commitment to protecting vulnerable minors from such exploitation.
