Delvon Sanders, Fentanyl, Pennsylvania 2023

A former Erie resident’s life has been forever changed with the indictment of Delvon Sanders, 33, on federal narcotics charges.

Erie, Pa. – The charges stem from a tragic event that took place on April 17, 2023, where Sanders sold a quantity of fentanyl that caused the death of J.B.

The indictment also alleges that Sanders possessed with intent to distribute fentanyl on April 18, 2023, and was found with 50 grams or more of methamphetamine on that same date.

The law provides for a maximum total sentence of life in prison, a fine of $7,000,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant United States Attorney Molly W. Anglin is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government. The investigation leading to the indictment was conducted by the Millcreek Police Department, the Erie County Drug Task Force, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

An indictment is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
