Wheeling Man Sentenced to 9 Years for Cocaine Trafficking

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA – Deon Young, a 27-year-old man from Wheeling, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 108 months in prison for his role in a cocaine trafficking conspiracy.

According to court documents, Young was involved in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine base and heroin from November 2012 to January 2013. As part of his sentence, Young was ordered to forfeit $2,260.

Young, who is currently in the custody of the United States Marshal, faces three years of supervised release after his prison term is completed.

The investigation into Young’s activities was carried out by the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, which includes officers and agents from the West Virginia State Police-BCI, the Wheeling Police Department, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
