Grimy Times has learned that a brazen bank heist in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, has led to a 10-year prison sentence for an Indiana man. On December 22, 2022, two masked men, including 45-year-old Deundrick Damon McIntosh, stormed a bank and made off with nearly $80,000 in cash.
According to court documents, McIntosh and his accomplice zip-tied two bank employees before making their getaway. However, law enforcement was hot on their heels, executing search warrants on January 11, 2023, at a residence linked to McIntosh.
Inside the residence, authorities found a gun with an extended magazine, as well as additional bait bills stolen from the bank. McIntosh was also found to be in possession of money with serial numbers matching the cash stolen from the bank.
McIntosh’s prior felony convictions, including bank robbery and domestic assault, made him a prohibited individual under federal law from possessing firearms or ammunition at any time.
On November 13, 2023, McIntosh pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as a felon. U.S. District Court Judge John R. Tunheim handed down the 10-year sentence, which will be followed by three years of supervised release.
The case was the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI, the Inver Grove Heights Police Department, and the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lindsey E. Middlecamp prosecuted the case.
McIntosh’s actions have left a lasting impact on the community, with the bank robbery causing significant financial losses. The prison sentence serves as a reminder of the consequences of such crimes.
