A Dexter man has pleaded guilty to his role in a cocaine conspiracy that spanned over a decade.
Donald Vigue, 42, of Dexter, Maine, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute cocaine in U.S. District Court.
According to court records, Vigue participated in a conspiracy run by Roger Belanger and his daughter, Kelli Mujo, that existed between January 2002 and November 2014.
The conspiracy involved acquiring cocaine in Rhode Island and distributing it in the Dexter area.
Vigue is the ninth person to plead guilty in the investigation.
Belanger and Mujo were convicted following a jury trial on August 19, 2016.
Vigue faces up to 20 years in prison, a $1,000,000 fine, and between three years and life on supervised release.
He will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, with assistance provided by the Dexter Police Department, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, and the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office.
