Three Texas men have been caught in a brazen pharmacy burglary spree, stealing 25,610 doses of pain pills and other controlled substances from Missouri and Kansas pharmacies.
The trio, consisting of Erik Dewayne Lyons Jr., 21, Jonathan Fore, 30, and Anthony Ray Venwright, 33, all from the Houston area, traveled to Lee’s Summit, Missouri on July 29, 2025. The next day, they broke into a local pharmacy, with Lyons waiting in a nearby Toyota RAV4 while Fore and Venwright smashed and grabbed.
They struck again the following day, hitting pharmacies in Overland Park, Kansas, and Maryland Heights, Missouri, making off with an estimated 25,610 doses of controlled substances.
It wasn’t until July 31, 2025, when Maryland Heights police identified the RAV4 and linked it to the burglaries, that the investigation began to unravel. The Arkansas State Police stopped the vehicle and found trash bags containing the stolen pills and evidence of the crimes.
Each of the three men has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute controlled substances and entering a pharmacy with the intent to steal. They face up to 20 years in prison, with Lyons set to be sentenced on July 13 and Fore and Venwright on July 6.
