Rochester Man Faces Up To 20 Years In Prison After Pleading Guilty To Child Pornography Charge

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – 31-year-old Donnie Lee Jackson, a registered sex offender and New York State parolee, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography, including prepubescent images, in a New York court.

The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum of 20 years, and a fine of $250,000. This is not the first time Jackson has been in trouble with the law. In 2010, he was convicted in New York State Court of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree after engaging in sexual conduct with an individual under 11-years-old on multiple occasions.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Melissa M. Marangola, who is handling the case, stated that the defendant was found to be in possession of a cellular telephone that contained approximately 50 videos and 13 images of child pornography, some of which depicted prepubescent minors or minors under 12-years-old, in May 2017.

The plea is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Stephen Belongia, and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, under the direction of Acting Commissioner Anthony J. Annucci.
