Durango’s Ute Mountain Ute and Southern Ute Indian Tribes have a new ally in their fight against crime. R. Josh Player, an experienced prosecutor with a background in tribal prosecution, has joined the Durango Branch Office of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado.
Player comes to Durango after serving as a Deputy District Attorney in the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office, where he also served as a Special Tribal Prosecutor for the Ute Tribe on the Uintah-Ouray Reservation, Confederated Tribes of the Goshute Nation, and Ely Band of Shoshone for certain matters.
Player’s experience will come in handy as he prosecutes criminal cases from the Ute Mountain Ute and Southern Ute Indian Tribes. The Durango Office is a branch office for the District of Colorado, which has another office in Grand Junction and headquarters in Denver.
Player joins existing Assistant United States Attorney Jeff Graves, Paralegal Amy Connor, and Contract Legal Assistant Loana Serrano in the Durango Office.
The new prosecutor’s background will help address issues that arise in the Durango Branch Office, which prosecutes criminal cases from the Ute Mountain Ute and Southern Ute Indian Tribes.
The Durango Branch Office is a key part of the District of Colorado’s efforts to fight crime in the region.
The addition of Player to the team is a boost to the efforts of the Ute Mountain Ute and Southern Ute Indian Tribes in their fight against crime.
