Sean Paul Duer, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Oklahoma 2024

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The streets of Durant are feeling safer as Sean Paul Duer, 58, known locally as a drug kingpin, has been handed down a 75-month prison sentence for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. This is a significant victory for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Duer’s downfall began on May 15, 2024, when law enforcement executed a search warrant on his vehicle, uncovering a hidden cache of approximately 33 grams of white crystalline meth. The meth was cleverly concealed within the door panel of the impounded car.

Investigating agencies included the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Durant Police Department. Duer pleaded guilty to the charge on May 8, 2025, marking a swift resolution in the case.

The sentence was delivered by Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White during a hearing that took place in the Eastern District of Oklahoma’s federal court. Duer will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until transportation to a designated Bureau of Prisons facility, where he will serve his non-paroleable sentence.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard J. Lorenz represented the United States in this case, ensuring that justice was served for the community affected by Duer’s drug activities. The sentence sent a clear message that meth distribution will not be tolerated in Bryan County and beyond.
