Dustin Ray Bailey, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Oklahoma 2016

A 36-year-old Oklahoma City man is facing serious charges after a federal grand jury indicted him on methamphetamine trafficking and firearm offenses.

Dustin Ray Bailey, age 36, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has been charged with Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession Of Firearm In Furtherance Of A Drug Trafficking Crime, and Felon In Possession Of Firearm.

The indictment alleges that on or about June 27, 2016, Bailey knowingly possessed a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, specifically Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.

The charges arose from an investigation by the Sallisaw Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Bailey is facing a possible sentence of no less than 5 years or more than 40 years imprisonment, a fine up to $5,000,000.00 or both, for his role in the methamphetamine trafficking ring.

Bailey is also facing charges under Title 18, United States Code, Section 922(g)(1) and 924(a)(2), punishable by not more than 10 years imprisonment, up to a $250,000.00 fine or both.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Dean Burris.
