WEST HARTFORD, CT – A resident of West Hartford, Connecticut, has been sentenced for his role in a narcotics conspiracy, announced @USAO_CT.
Robert Koci, 46, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by four years of supervised release, for conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 500 grams or more of cocaine, and for possession with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 500 grams or more of cocaine.
Koci was arrested on June 16, 2021, and subsequently indicted by a federal grand jury. He pleaded guilty to the charges on March 3, 2022.
The evidence presented during the investigation revealed that Koci was a significant player in the narcotics conspiracy, which distributed large quantities of cocaine in the Hartford area.
“This sentence reflects the seriousness of Koci’s crimes and the harm caused to our community,” said Tom Carson, Public Affairs Officer for the U.S. Attorney’s Office. “We will continue to work tirelessly to disrupt and dismantle narcotics trafficking organizations that threaten our neighborhoods.”
U.S. Attorney Carson commended the efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the West Hartford Police Department for their tireless efforts in investigating and prosecuting this case.
