MONTICELLO, NY – A massive cache of weaponry and a multi-year drug conspiracy unraveled in the sleepy town of Monticello, New York, culminating in federal charges against four individuals, the Grimy Times has learned. Authorities seized over 30 firearms, including assault weapons and an untraceable “ghost gun,” from the residence of Dwayne Johnson, 44, a central figure in the alleged narcotics operation.
U.S. Attorney Damian Williams announced the unsealing of a Superseding Indictment today, detailing a conspiracy stretching back to at least October 2016. Johnson, along with Jessica Francis, allegedly conspired to distribute over 1,000 kilograms of marijuana. The Gmail account also contained photos depicting the operation, offering a disturbing glimpse into the scale of the alleged trafficking ring. The feds weren’t just looking at pot, either; the presence of short-barreled rifles adds a layer of serious firepower to the charges.
The bust didn’t stop with Johnson and Francis. Lori Cooney was arrested earlier today in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Teresa Santini in Milford, Pennsylvania, both charged with facilitating the illegal flow of firearms across state lines to Johnson. Cooney and Santini allegedly supplied Johnson with five pistols, the lower receiver of a short-barreled rifle, and the upper receiver of another. This interstate transfer of weapons forms a crucial component of the federal charges against them.
Johnson is charged with conspiracy to engage in narcotics trafficking, possession of short-barreled rifles in furtherance of the narcotics conspiracy, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition, unlawful possession of body armor, aiding and abetting the unlawful interstate transfer of firearms, and aiding and abetting firearms trafficking. Francis faces charges related to the narcotics conspiracy. Cooney and Santini are both accused of the unlawful interstate transfer of firearms to Johnson and firearms trafficking.
The defendants were arraigned earlier today and will appear before U.S. District Court Judge Vincent Briccetti on March 13. U.S. Attorney Williams stated the case underscores the dangerous intersection of drug trafficking and gun violence, vowing to prosecute those involved to the fullest extent of the law. This isn’t just about marijuana; it’s about a dangerous individual stockpiling weapons and openly threatening violence to protect his illicit profits.”
