Fentanyl Trafficking Wreaks Havoc in Lorain County

Two Lorain County men have been indicted in federal court for selling fentanyl and other illicit substances, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

Dwayne R. Taylor, 32, of Elyria, stands accused of distributing fentanyl, heroin, and crack cocaine, as well as possessing firearms in the process.

According to the indictment, Taylor sold crack cocaine and a mixture of fentanyl and heroin numerous times between May and July. On July 19, he was found to be in possession of approximately 6.53 grams of a mixture of heroin and fentanyl, alongside a Glock 9 mm handgun and a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun. This discovery raises alarms, given his prior conviction for drug trafficking, which bars him from owning firearms.
