Jace Bradley, Cocaine Trafficking Conspiracy, Pennsylvania 2019

WILKES-BARRE, PA – Jace Bradley, 58, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, is headed to federal prison after pleading guilty to his part in a significant cocaine trafficking conspiracy operating in Monroe County. Senior U.S. District Court Judge A. Richard Caputo handed down an 18-month sentence, followed by four years of supervised release, on May 30, 2019.

According to United States Attorney David J. Freed, Bradley admitted to conspiring with others to distribute between 500 grams and two kilograms of cocaine within the Monroe County area between May and July 2015. This wasn’t a solo operation; Bradley was one of eleven individuals indicted by a grand jury in July 2015, all facing charges related to the distribution of powder cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin throughout the region.

The bust was the result of a joint operation between the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Robert J. O’Hara led the prosecution, building the case against Bradley and his co-conspirators. The investigation dug deep, revealing a network of individuals profiting from the misery of addiction.

Federal authorities emphasized that this case isn’t isolated. It’s part of the larger Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) initiative, a program designed to unite law enforcement at all levels to combat violent crime and improve neighborhood safety. Reinvigorated in 2017, PSN is a focused effort to target violent criminals and build stronger partnerships between federal, state, and local agencies.

The prosecution also falls under the umbrella of the Heroin Initiative, a district-wide push to dismantle heroin trafficking operations throughout the Middle District of Pennsylvania. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is leading the charge, working with multiple agencies to identify, arrest, and prosecute those involved in the heroin trade – a coordinated attempt to stem the tide of this deadly epidemic.

This case wasn’t just a local effort. It was part of a far-reaching investigation conducted by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF). OCDETF represents a unified, multi-agency approach to tackling major drug trafficking organizations, focusing on disrupting their operations and seizing their ill-gotten gains. This prosecution signals a continued commitment to dismantling these networks and bringing those responsible to justice. # # #
