Edgar Dekay, 38, of Buffalo, NY, is headed to federal prison for 123 months after pleading guilty to RICO conspiracy and possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking, capping a violent run with the Kingsmen Motorcycle Club (KMC). U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. confirmed the sentence handed down by U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford, marking another fall from grace in the brutal biker gang’s crumbling empire.
Dekay admitted to being a full-patch member of the KMC, a criminal enterprise rooted in drug distribution, illegal firearms trade, untaxed cigarette sales, and prostitution. Prosecutors Joseph M. Tripi and Brendan T. Cullinane laid bare the gang’s reign of terror: intimidation, assaults, attempted murders, and killings used to control territory and silence dissent. The KMC didn’t just break laws — they enforced their own with blood and fear.
On September 21, 2012, Dekay took part in a drive-by shooting targeting a former Kingsman who’d assaulted the KMC Regional President and stolen from the club. Alongside co-defendants Ryan Myrtle, Thomas Koszuta, and others, Dekay opened fire on the man’s home, turning a residential street into a war zone. No one was hit — but the message was clear: betrayal meant bullets.
The violence didn’t stop there. On June 7, 2013, Dekay joined a crew to forcibly shut down the Springville KMC Chapter, loyal to the ousted National President. The takedown turned vicious: the Springville Chapter President was clubbed in the head with a heavy mag light, property was seized, and evidence of the assault and robbery was destroyed. It was less a leadership change — more a gangland coup.
Just weeks later, on August 3, 2013, Dekay returned to the Springville clubhouse with other KMC members and opened fire on a group of expelled members. Two shots rang out from a shotgun; one struck a vehicle parked near a targeted ex-member. The attack was retaliation disguised as protocol — another move to crush dissent and maintain control through terror.
Dekay is the latest domino to fall in a sweeping federal takedown that netted 16 convictions, including KMC National President David Pirk and Andrew Jenkins — both sentenced to multiple life terms. The FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force led the investigation, with support from over a dozen federal and local agencies, proving no biker brotherhood is bulletproof when the feds come knocking.
