In a shocking turn of events, five notorious yeggmen were hauled away and charged with vagrancy in New York City’s Rockland County jail. According to postal inspectors Joseph E. Jacolay and Thomas Meyer, these cunning thieves have been responsible for a string of daring burglaries that have left small towns along the New York-New Jersey line reeling. Over the past four months, no less than 16 post offices have been broken into, their safes cracked, and thousands of dollars in cash and stamps stolen.
