Edward Cockerham, Child Sexual Exploitation, Montana 2021

Grimy Times has learned of a shocking case of child sexual exploitation in Montana. Edward Timothy Cockerham, 42, of Kalispell, was arraigned on July 8 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kathleen L. DeSoto on a federal complaint.

According to the indictment, Cockerham is accused of sexual exploitation of a child, a crime that carries a minimum sentence of 15 years to 30 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and five years to life of supervised release. The Homeland Security Investigations and the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.

Cockerham was detained pending further proceedings. The case is currently pending in federal court.
