Emily Huckabee Charged with Methamphetamine Trafficking, New Orleans LA, 2023

EMILY HUCKABEE, a 23-year-old resident of Yuma, Arizona, has been charged with methamphetamine trafficking in New Orleans, Louisiana. HUCKABEE pleaded guilty to a superseding bill of information charging her with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute a quantity of methamphetamine.

According to court documents, on June 28, 2022, a Louisiana State Police Trooper stopped a 2015 Ford F-150 driven by HUCKABEE and traveling on I-59 in Pearl River, Louisiana, for traffic violations. A narcotics detection canine sniffed the vehicle and detected a narcotics odor.

HUCKABEE admitted to the Troopers that there was a large amount of controlled substances in a bag on the rear seat of the vehicle. Troopers searched the vehicle and discovered 10.58 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine wrapped in twenty-seven vacuum sealed packages.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Louisiana State Police investigated this case. Assistant United States Attorney André Jones of the Narcotics Unit handled the prosecution.

HUCKABEE faces a maximum term of imprisonment of twenty (20) years, a fine of up to $1,000,000.00, a term of supervised release of at least three (3) years, and a mandatory special assessment fee of $100.00.

HUCKABEE’s guilty plea is a significant blow to the methamphetamine trafficking ring she was involved with. The guilty plea also marks a major victory for law enforcement agencies that worked tirelessly to bring HUCKABEE to justice.
