CONCORD, N.H. – United States Attorney Jane E. Young announced that Gary Sewell, 41, previously of Enfield, has been sentenced to 72 months in prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy.
Sewell, along with co-defendant Heather Dubeau, was charged with shipping methamphetamine from Arizona to New Hampshire. In May 2019, DEA agents intercepted parcels that contained over 336 grams and 665 grams of the drug, intended for distribution.
Co-defendants Andrew Hutchins, Eli Margolis, Chad Rombow, and Dylan Miles have all pleaded guilty and await sentences, with Dubeau scheduled for February 16, 2023.
‘The distribution of methamphetamine is a major concern in New Hampshire,’ said U.S. Attorney Young. ‘We will be aggressive in our efforts to address the public safety issues presented by this dangerous drug.’
Young emphasized that Sewell’s actions were actively investigated and would be vigorously prosecuted.
This case was a joint effort of the United States Postal Inspection Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration, with Assistant United States Attorney Anna Krasinski handling the prosecution.
“The defendant actively engaged in a conspiracy to ship methamphetamine from Arizona to New Hampshire, such conduct will be vigorously investigated and prosecuted,” said U.S. Attorney Jane Young after the conviction.
