Jacob Quinlan Navarrette, Possession of Certain Material Involving the Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Oklahoma 2023

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – In a grim turn of justice, Jacob Quinlan Navarrette, a 28-year-old resident of Eufaula, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 78 months in prison for Possession Of Certain Material Involving The Sexual Exploitation Of A Minor. The sentence, handed down by the United States District Court, also includes a $3,000 restitution fee and a mandatory registration as a sex offender.

The crime stems from an extensive FBI investigation that revealed Navarrette’s possession of visual depictions of a prepubescent minor under the age of twelve engaging in sexually explicit conduct. These images were transported through interstate commerce via computer, in clear violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2252(a)(4)(B) and 2252(b)(2).

Upon his release from prison, Navarrette will be under a decade-long supervised release, during which he is prohibited from possessing any form of pornography and must undergo sex offender treatment, including polygraph examinations to monitor his compliance.

Sarah McAmis, Assistant United States Attorney, represented the United States in the case. United States Attorney Brian J. Kuester emphasized the gravity of child exploitation, stating, “The production and distribution of child pornography are despicable acts that profit from the horrors inflicted upon children.” Kuester commended the FBI’s role in identifying and bringing Navarrette to justice.

The Honorable Ronald A. White presided over the hearing, ensuring a thorough review of the charges against Navarrette. This sentence sends a strong message about the zero-tolerance stance on child exploitation crimes.
