Eugene Campbell IV, Hobbs Act Robbery, Florida 2025

Jacksonville, FL – In a brazen display of violence, Eugene Campbell IV, a 35-year-old man from Jacksonville, Florida, has been indicted for robbing two pizza shops in the city, discharging a firearm in the process.

According to the indictment, on August 4, 2025, Campbell robbed a pizza shop in Jacksonville while discharging a firearm. The next day, Campbell robbed another pizza shop in Jacksonville while discharging his firearm again.

If convicted, Campbell faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison for each robbery offense, and a minimum sentence of 10 years, up to life, for each firearms offense.

An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed one or more violations of federal criminal law, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.

It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David B. Mesrobian.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.

Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN).

Eugene Campbell IV, 35, of Jacksonville, faces 20 years in prison for each of the two counts of Hobbs Act robbery, as well as a minimum sentence of 10 years, up to life, for each of the two counts of discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
